The Trèfle Lozérien AMV kicks off the celebrations for its 40th anniversary!
Riders, teams and volunteers gathered throughout the day in Mende, where excitement is building ahead of the major event awaiting enduro enthusiasts this weekend: the Trèfle Lozérien AMV, which celebrates its 40th anniversary this year!
Everything is in place for the Trèfle Lozérien AMV
As tradition dictates, this Thursday in Mende was dedicated to the administrative and technical checks ahead of the race, which will take place from June 5 to 7.
Hundreds of riders passed through the inspection area on Place du Foirail to have their equipment and registration documents checked, an essential step in confirming their entry and receiving their GPS tracker. Tomorrow, 623 riders will set off to tackle the special stages and chase victory in this anniversary edition.
This unique day provided an opportunity to get reacquainted with the venue that will host the action over the next three days, but also simply to meet up once again. Because that is also what the Trèfle Lozérien AMV is all about: one big family of enthusiasts, bringing together more than 400 volunteers, thousands of spectators and some of the world’s best enduro riders in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
A world-class line-up for the 40th anniversary of the Trèfle Lozérien AMV
Since 1986, the Trèfle Lozérien AMV has brought together the very best of international enduro, and this extraordinary edition will be no exception. Whether you’re a former winner or a young newcomer, an elite rider or an amateur competitor, everyone shares the same passion for off-road motorcycling.
With defending champion Josep Garcia absent this year, the race looks wide open and could deliver a thrilling battle for victory. There is no shortage of contenders, starting with Till de Clercq, winner in 2023, and Hugo Blanjoue, second last year. Also returning are some of the riders who delivered a great show fighting in the top group in 2025, like Valérian Debaud and Killian Lunier.
Jérémy Tarroux will also be chasing victory and will be one to watch closely, as he arrives in Lozère in excellent form. The 2025 E3 EnduroGP World Champion Hamish Macdonald and runner-up Antoine Magain also rank among the obvious favourites.
This anniversary edition will also be an opportunity to celebrate 40 years of racing across the legendary landscapes of Lozère. Drawn by the unique spirit of the Trèfle Lozérien AMV, several enduro legends have answered the call. Among those lining up at the start are some of the greatest riders of their generation, including Stéphane Peterhansel and Johnny Aubert. Mathieu Serradori, Xavier de Soultrait and Martin Bonnet will also be taking part, alongside Lozère native Laurent Charbonnel, certainly the event’s most loyal competitor.
Three loops and 600 kilometres on the road to victory
As it has done almost every year for the past 40 years, the greatest classic in enduro will once again set Lozère buzzing for three days. Three distinct days, each with its own atmosphere and unique character.
On Friday, the opening day will take riders across the high plateaus of the Margeride region. Saturday’s second loop heads across the wide-open landscapes of Aubrac. Finally, Sunday’s decisive loop will unfold into the heart of the spectacular Gorges du Tarn before crowning the rider whose name will forever be associated with this historic edition.
Together, the three daily loops form the shape of a cloverleaf on the map, a symbol of the diversity of the territories crossed by the event. Fifteen special stages await the competitors, offering as many challenges across a total of 600 competitive kilometres combining high-speed and demanding technical sections.
The final course inspections took place in rainy conditions, helping to shape the terrain ahead of the race, and preparations are now complete. The countdown is on: tomorrow morning, the racing – and the adventure – begin!
