Day 3 – Sunday 8 June, verdict on the Margeride circuit

Garcia crowned champion in a spectacular edition!

The 39th edition of the Trèfle Lozérien AMV came to a close this Sunday in the wild and beautiful Margeride region. With fierce battles, emotional stories, and perfect weather, the 2025 edition lived up to all expectations.

Josep Garcia unstoppable

After a challenging day yesterday, Josep Garcia came back in style. The Spanish world champion won three specials on the final day, claiming his second consecutive victory at the Trèfle — the first rider to do so since Pierre-Alexandre Renet in 2014. “It’s an incredible feeling. I feel right at home here,” said the Catalan, now a four-time winner of the event.

New faces on the podium

French rider Hugo Blanjoue delivered a superb performance, finishing 2nd overall and earning his first Trèfle podium — 10 years after discovering enduro right here in Mende. It was also a first podium for Julien Roussaly (3rd), who rode with consistency and determination throughout the weekend. At just 25, the Sherco rider reached a long-awaited milestone.

Key highlights

  • Valerian Debaud, who shone on Day 2, saw his podium hopes slip away after a crash in Special 4. He finished 4th, as he did in 2024.
  • Jérémy Tarroux, riding through physical challenges, salvaged 5th place in a difficult edition.
  • Théo Espinasse (6th) and Killian Lunier (7th) fought a great battle, while Luc Fargier impressed with an excellent 8th place, ahead of Mathis Julliard (Junior class winner) and Romain Boucardet, who made a remarkable comeback after an eight-year break.

A world-class women’s race

The women’s race was equally exciting this year: British GP rider Rosie Rowett and French rider Elodie Chaplot fought a thrilling duel. At 33, Chaplot claimed her first Trèfle victory ahead of Rowett and Lorna Lafont.

The big show !

The traditional Trophée Castan delivered one last spectacular show at La Vabre circuit. Garcia once again triumphed against the best French riders.

The President of the Moto Club Lozérien has already confirmed the 40th edition will take place in 2026. We can’t wait!
